Jenny March, LMHC
Jenny began working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in 2012. She has worked with youth, teens, and adults in a variety of settings such as residential/PMIC, shelters, schools in IEP and 504 planning, in-home, and throughout the community. Jenny also has experience working with individuals and families that are a part of the Children's Mental Health Waiver, as well as Habilitation (Hab) and Behavioral Health Intervention (BHIS) services.
Jenny is a provisionally licensed clinical mental health therapist with New Beginnings Counseling Service, and plans to attain full licensure in 2024. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Iowa State University, and her masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Drake University in 2022. Her areas of interest include: strength-based practices, positive psychology, trauma, Art Therapy techniques, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and including approaches of empowerment, teamwork, and problem-solving. Jenny pulls from a variety of approaches and therapeutic techniques when working with clients, and strives to help individuals live and lead an authentic, healthy, and balanced life.
Jenny brings her outlook in life and passion of assisting others into her sessions with the individuals and families she works with. She believes in the power of positivity, choice, and living an authentic life; as well as the importance of embracing our individuality and well-being. Jenny values exploring and expanding self-care and compassion, as well as the motto “laughter is key.”
